Glencoe Scene v1.0
Photoshop
October 2009

This is a recent digital painting I made of Glencoe, where I was born and raised in the Scottish Highlands. The scene is of "Buachaille Etive Mor" (trans: The Great Shephard of Etive) on the edge of Rannoch Moor and looking down towards the pass of Glencoe.

It was painted from scratch and using a single photo as reference, and done for practise and for fun. I added some extra snow to the tops of some of the mountains (I prefer it when theres plenty of snow around - doesn't happen as often these days). I was going expand the painting and add in a wee Loch in the foreground, but after a few tests decided it was better without it.

All crits and comments welcome.
